Sony launches wireless digital camera

BATTERY MAKER, Sony today launched a wireless digital camera.

The 6-megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-G1 can wirelessly communicate with other Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)-enabled devices to allow users to beam their pictures about willy-nilly.

The device is Sony's first wireless camera.

A spokesSony said the firm was exploring the "possibilities for networked digital imaging as broadband Internet becomes more pervasive in American homes."

The DSC-G1 digital camera will ship in the US in April at about $600. µ
