GRAPHICS CARD firm Sapphire said it's made a gaming portal with software and hardware news and reviews.

It's aimed at you performance enthusiasts and at pushing its Atomic range of products.

These cards, it said, will come "overclocked out of the box" and include HDMI cables and games.

The website is here. µ

contest page info odd

I clicked the link for the contest, and was taken to a page where you can register to win stuff.

http://www.sapphiretechdirect.com/html/12daycampaign.php

Looking at the page, it has fields for account & password current account holders. The password field is not obfuscated. So i pulled up the page info to see if there were any security certificates or if all the information they were going to collect was in the clear.

The description for the page was interesting.

description: AltGamer.org is the source for elite gaming, gamer and game related information. AltGamer.org... where science meets art.

Shurley shome mishtake?

Cheers,
John

Joe six pack getting hood winked again.

What is it with these manufactures who say we will sell you an over clocked card right out of the box. Here's the conversation
Sapphire:" Look Amdati whats the fastest speed your gpu will go."
AmdAti:" 700."
Sapphire:" Well why don't you advertise the speed at 600 so we can do the marketing spin and do our usual Con to the public so we can suck extra cash out of them.
My 2 cents.
