Intel to lay off more people in Europe

Redundancy
Mon Sep 25 2006, 12:48
OUR European sources are howling that Intel plans to get rid of an additional chunk of workforce and this time it plans to target those in Europe.

We don't know how many names are on the axeman's terminal list but we learned that the company is set to offer a round of redundancy packages, as you cannot simply fire people in Europe. It really costs you money to get rid of an employee over here.

Intel already fired 10,500 people and it seems that is not the end of it.

Analysts already seem to agree that the operating costs of the mighty Intel are still too high. µ
