Windows 64 bit edition not till second half of 2004

CeBIT 2004 AMD's 64-bit advantage waning

AMD SAID at its FX 53 press conference, Friday, that Microsoft will eventually introduce its new operating system for Athlon CPUs and the beloved 64-bit marchitecture.

AMD didn't wanted to get into any specifics concerning the date but wanted to get the message across that this will eventually happen, all you have to do is wait.

We asked some of the AMD officials if they could be more precise, but they played the old record that we have to ask Microsoft about that.

The Beta that we tested looks good but there were some features missing.

Maybe AMD should voucher up Windows 64-bit Edition with it chips. They can sure ask ATI for advice about such matters. µ
