A REPORT ON the Indie - motto: targeted industry news as it breaks - said that Nintendo, a contendo in the console business, will splash out €100 million (~$61 million) on the launch of the Gamecube starting this month.

Gamecube is considered to be a wonderful console by lots of people and is launched in Europe in early May, with a raft of titles floating on the back of its introduction, Indie says.

The campaign will be introduced across 17 countries and an instore campaign starts in the middle of this month, coinciding with CeBIT 2002, the wire said.

"Life's a Game" is the tagline Nintendo will use for the campaign and it's obviously taking the €uro-launch of the X-Box pretty seriously.
