Intel invests $600 million in WiMAX firm

Puts money where mouth is

CHIP FIRM Intel will put $600 million into the Clearwire Corporation, with Motorola putting in more cash with other investors to make a total of $900 million.

Clearwire sells wireless access in the US and in a few other territories. It is expected to move to WiMAX in line with the additional investment Intel has made. ยต
