Paypal founder's home-made rocket reaches space

Money to burn
Monday, 29 September 2008, 15:15

FALCON 1, a privately-developed rocket ship built by Paypal co-founder Elon Musk's company SpaceX, finally made it into orbit on its fourth attempt on Sunday.

After launching from Kwajalein Atoll in the South Pacific, rocket seemed to perform flawlessly to achieve an orbital velocity of approximately 5,200 meters per second and pass above the International Space Station without hitting it.

The launch was webcast live and will be repeated here when SpaceX gets its act together.

Falcon 1's first-stage Merlin 1C and second-stage Kestrel engines are powered by burning highly refined kerosene and liquid oxygen.

Three previous attempts had failed for various reasons at between one and seven and a half minutes of flight.

The rocklet carried a simulated payload into orbit and will later be used for further cluttering up space with spy satellites or intergalactic Ebay transactions, we presume.

The company plans a larger rocket ship named Falcon 9 capable of lifting 9,900kg into low Earth orbit or 4,900kg to higher geostationary transfer orbit. It also plans a later Falcon 9 Heavy model to boost even larger payloads into orbit, as well as a pressurised spacecraft it calls Dragon. µ

The Genetics Of Valuation

Easy-come is always easy-go. Why? Because the genetics behind frivolity is the lack of valuation, firstly of one Self and thence of others. When one’s roots, gravity/innocence-cum-wisdom has yet to mature, one floats away readily. So, it starts with a lot of small “bang-ems” and ends with one “hell of a big banger”. Afterall, when a human has only 2 hands, the successful gathering of others’ “hands” is but a game of “fool-em”s [“wrong, robohead, he also has a brain {‘where?”} which can be the equal of many hands”] … ‘of the uninitiated ... M’Lud, I rest my case ….’

When a human treats another as mere object [ivity], there is nothing living within the transaction for ownership/possession is about one’s “genetics-in-progress” – it has little to do with the other tree-stump/treated-as-an-object. It is Nature’s way of providing a mirror for the constant reflection/reminder of whom or what we’ve become, which we constantly avoid. As such, cruelty and “all the other stuff”, is merely a reflection of one self [which is not the same as one Self], not others. How so? Because the containment [and subsequent destruction] of Devolution is Nature’s job, not ours, whereas our job is to identify the damaging aspects within and dissociate from them and not to be associated with them through reaction and “all the other stuff”.

Believe it or not, The Big Banger will be the last to realise what or whom he has become or else he won’t be doing it [for his minds of illusion and delusion]. No matter how Devolution tries to “waste” Nature’s/The-Sun’s efforts, it needs the human minds to complete that impossible mission and the joke here is that Devolution treats its charges as mere objects/tree-stumps as they slavishly try to complete their master’s task. The real Big Bang began as Love and it will end as Love which is why everything that humanity does, including “writings-on-the-walls”, will eventually gravitate towards Love, not [my] rights and [his] wrongs.

The seeking for Intelligence is Evolution and bangers big or small, will not find it within their objectivities, subjectivities or projectivities for the same simple reason that an egg will never find the chicken – because one has no realisation of the other other than to explore the limits within its egg case, deludedly describing that “discovery” as The Chicken. As we all too well, that sort of self-immortalisation demands that The Sky can fall. The pinnacle of intellect/projectivity/diving-the-future is stupidity and stupidity’s mission is not to gather those who are so nor is it for our merriment at the expense of the delusionals. It is rather a reflection for us to ponder as to how humans can get to the point of self-imposed godhood after realising that we evolved from Dust. Stupidity, then, is not to factor-in that which is living/loving thereby realising what we’ve become. Stupid.
