ALL THE THREADS below can be found in Hermit's Cave. I've been late posting this story - blame Mike - not Sid...

Poll Roundup
GHC loves using computers... Er ah ah, ummmm yeah. Ahh yeah look for yourself.

Weekly Folly
Laptop Question Tigger was on about looking for a laptop and asking advice. Apparently the one I offered him was too nice for him. Spent the first half of the thread reviewing the specs of a variety of laptops. Round about post 19 the Luxembourg Alien started talking about this new Euro thingy. Which finished us of in the week with a bunch of currency conversion talk.

Mobile AMD Flounder was looking for a non-Intel laptop (am I sensing a theme) but couldn't find one. "Moe, Moe I can't see" "Why not" "Cuz I got my eyes closed, Nyuck, Nyuck, Nyuck." Up till the 3rd of January there was lot's of talk about the big Fecking Q and website security. At that time Bob the New Year Dinosaur asked about Book boy's sig. So we started a guessing game. With yours truly coming the closest. Then there was some weird whacko talk that made little or no sense. So basically, more of the same.

Need help with Scotch Whitenavel brought us on to Spinola's favorite subject, looking for a bribe.. I mean gift. We went slightly off topic with big cats in trees. Then had a rather lengthy discussion about ice cubes, and the preferred temperature of adult beverages all around, including, at the end, self-heating coffee bits.

Very quite week, think everyone is still hungover from the Holidays. No real theme to anything, couple of newbies stopping by to ask about stories from here there and everywhere. Mikey looking for threads that he made up. Flounders out of work. I'm on a one-man mission to save Book boy's posts for postierority. Whitknavel thinks he's safe with an ocean between him and GHC; we've never rated him high on the intelligence scale. Speaking of which (GHC's temper not Navel's intelligence) Where's Kenny? Should we call someone? And lots of stupid tech. Funny though we seem to be missing all the Hype on Ginger. No not Mr. G, that scooter thing.

Hermie's Quotable Quottes
While searching Hermie's posts by keyword Booze, it seems most posts in relation to booze were directed at me?

I liked to wait till my kid laid his throbbing head on the cool kitchen table. Then slam the dish down. Nooo sympathy. noooo. If one drinks enough to get a hangover, tell me that person didn't know they were going to get a hangover. I think half of drinking anymore is bragging about how much one drank and how sick they are afterwards. Lord, I must have missed a lot while I was boozing. I drank to oblivion and kept my mouth shut so that I could keep my job and my pride, what was left of it.

Never could and still can't understand bragging about poisoning oneself, ours was always about maintaining at least the appearance of sobriety. Course if everyone talks/brags about how sick they are that creates a society where it's normal and accepted. Us boozers do need acceptance. 0-%

Paste a reflector or two to your chest and they'll never notice.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
