FCC accused of nicking Doraemon cartoon

The case of the robotic cat
Thursday, 30 December 2004, 09:40
THE US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has had a letter from the agency handling the Doraemon cartoon alleging that its Broadband cartoon character is infringing its copyright.

According to the Japan Times, Shogakukan Productions wants the FCC to ask for formal permission to use the character.

You can find Broadband on the FCC site, in the "Kid's Zone", here, while the Doraemon Japanese web site is here.

We hope the Japanese site will forgive us - but they don't look that similar to the INQ. µ
