Mediaeval-style water cooler arrives

Computex 007 The Zaward Xian Quan II

MANY NICHE cooling vendors in Taipei are expanding into water cooling, increasing the need for differentiation to survive the competition.

So, you'd see all kinds of internal and external systems, with tubes hanging all over.

Zaward, one of these vendors, has come out with a very unique internal water cooling system. The very internationally named "Xian Quan II" - don't ask me what it means till I enter Higher Chinese in a few years - reminds me most of one of those medieval or Arabic-style secret devices from Prince Of Persia game series. alt='drwho'

Of course, the green reservoir cylinder is a dead ringer for a "health potion" from that game, and all the decorations on the radiator awaken similar associations.

All that aside, it is a very compact yet seemingly sufficiently powerful device at least for overclocked dual-core CPU owners. Thick tubing to the CPU waterblock helps the cooling performance, too. µ
