Nvidia Quadro plex hits $25,500

WE MANAGED to see the Quadro Plex card in action. Just a few weeks back here we mentioned the card. It is a case that can hold up to four graphic cards.

To be more precise it can hold up to two Quadro FX 5500, two Quadro 4500 X2 or Quadro FX 5500 SLI cards, depends what you need. It is just an interface that holds two cards but at the same time it can deliver 64 times SLI Full Scene Anti Aliasing, 16 sinchronised output channels, eight HD SLI channels, 60 billion pixel a second fill rate and one billion triangles a second of geometry performance.

The top model, pictured below, powered with two Quadro FX 4500 X2 that can actually deliver 64 X SLI FSAA will cost you some $25.500,00 a lot for a two graphic cards based on G71. You can actually say that those super expensive cards are two 7950 GX2 cards and two of them should not cost you more than $1,000,00. Nvidia charges extra for the drivers and support I guess but if you are car manufacturer or you want to train military on the flight simulators you won't mind much about the price.

This graphic box can render a lot and we saw it in action. We even saw a picture of a rack filled with sixteen of such a boxes and you can buy it if you want and need it. It will be available in two weeks time.

We had some shots for you and you can even notice that Nvidia started to use its new logo on this interesting and super expensive case. µ
