SAMSUNG SAYS IT is to launch a Napster phone for AT&T in the US and A.
The slim flip phone, the SGH-A747, to be known as the Samsung SLM, will, through the hook-up with Napster, offer music tracks to wanderers.
Tunes will be available on the device from Napster's claimed catalogue of five million tracks for $1.99 each or packs of five for $7.50.
It's not cheap, not the first but it's not an Iphone either.
The phone launches on November 23. µ
I made the mistake of buying a Samsung/Napster MP3 player a while back. It required Napster's appalling interface to function too. Never again will I make such a mistake again. The build quality was quite good with the nice aluminium body, and the sound quality wasn't too shabby either, but my god the interface was terrible and only one version of Napster actually recognised the player so I could never upgrade from the beta version that had been shipped on my disk.
I shall jam my winky in a door before I ever buy something that has Samsung and Napster branding together again.
*hugs iRiver*

Well...maybe not my winky...
