Spansion gets gong from Cisco

AMD CHIP SPIN off Spansion said that Cisco has awarded it a 2005 supplier of the year gong.

Cisco uses Spansion NOR flash in various of its networking and telecomms kit to store application code and the like.

Spansion must have done exceptionally well as it didn't exist as an independent entity until AMD spun it off towards the end of last year. It said it previously won the Cisco supplier of the year award in 1999 and the president's award in 2000. That's before Spansion existed, so it did even better on those two previous occasions, don't you think? µ
