Lord British and Stephen Hawking prepare to go to Zero-G

Space trips booked
Wednesday, 4 April 2007, 12:01
RICHARD GARRIOTT, better known as the game developer Lord British has invited world's top theoretical physicist, no other than Stephen William Hawking - on a Zero-G flight on April 16th.

Garroitt is a gaming guru, having created Ultima, Bioforge, Lineage, City of Heroes and upcoming Tabula Rasa. He is also a space nut, investor in Zero-G company and one of trustee of the X-Prize Foundation.

Stephen Hawking needs no introduction, but this extraordinary person has been a space enthusiast all his life and is a living evidence that any physical challenge can overcome human spirit.

Both are lined up to be travellers on the world's first commercial space flights, which are set to commence in next two years run by Virgin Galactic and Space Adventures.

The latter firm is also connected with Lord British, so we can probably conclude that Stephen Hawking will see the world from space more than once in his lifetime.

Space Adventures also plans to travel to the Moon. ยต
