POWERCOLOR managed to get a nice deal to equip every single PC at the World Cyber Games championship 2006, with its X1650 PRO cards.

Over seven hundred gamers from seventy countries will cross swords at the championship in Monza, Italy later this month.

Battle will take place in titles such as FIFA Soccer 06, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, StarCraft: Brood War, WarCraft III: Frozen Throne and Dawn of War: Winter Assault.

All the gaming systems throughout the tournament will be equipped with the PowerColor X1650 PRO clocked at 600MHz core with 256MB of 1400MHz 128-bit DDR 3 memory.

This is the first time we can remember that the mainstream card was officially used as a card in such a hig-end tournament but if you even seen these PRO gamers playing you would understand that they don't need FSAA and Anisotropic filtering but that they do care about the high FPS, even if it means a dodgy texture quality. µ
