Finally, a Strong Bad game

Telltale scores another one
Thu Apr 10 2008, 16:32

YOU KNEW IT had to happen sooner or later, and today it did, Telltale games announced the first Strong Bad game. This June, you will be able to play the man himself in Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (SBCG4AP).

If you have played Sam and Max: Freelance Police, you have a pretty good idea of what the gameplay mechanics will be like. It will feature Strong Bad, one of the first web based cartoons from the Homestarrunner site, in the usual series of odd antics.

Technically, the game itself is a graphic adventure filled with episodic content, minigames, and Strong Bad himself, what more could you want?

Normally, licensed games are cause for alarm, quickly followed by horror and ridicule, go out and buy any 'hit movie' based game to see what I mean. Telltale has a long history of doing things right with Bone and Sam and Max, we won't mention the CSI games though. Shudder.

Given their history, SBCG4AP look very promising. The game is coming for WiiWare and PC in a 5-episode first season, each coming a month apart if Telltale holds true to form. The official site can be found here, but telltale says it won't be up for a few more hours, so check back often for the best deals on the Internet. ยต
