Sapphire shows off dual-chip 630XT

Computex 007 Double shrink
Friday, 8 June 2007, 11:06
SAPPHIRE HAS A DAAMIT 630XT lying about naked in its room here in the schmoozy Grand Hyatt in Taipei.

The card is knocking about next to its oversized predecessor and looks a bit dull without a gamer-friendly cooler.

A spokesSapphire said the firm had had the chippery working for a week or so now but can't say when it will be available, because it's still under NDA, apparently.

Like the X1950 dual Pro next to it the 630XT sports two chips stuck on a single board to deliver single-card Crossfire action.

Across the way a conventional Crossfire set-up was bubbling away quietly thanks to a neat water cooler from Thermaltake.
