The Black Pearl could be next

RESEARCH IN MOTION (RIM) fired a lawsuit in the direction of Samsung Telecommunications America, claiming that Samsung's BlackJack smart phone violates the BlackBerry trademark.

The Canadian firm wants Samsung to stop selling both its BlackJack and Black Carbon mobile phones and it demands money for the damage it has been caused.

The suit was filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

The firm says it thinks "the public" could falsely believe that "Samsung's goods and services are connected with RIM's business". µ
