Dead or Alive 4 is late

But still not finished, site claims

THE XBOX 360 "release title," Dead or Alive 4, was delayed for more than a month.

It finally came out on the 29th of December, but we'll still have to wait for the finished product, according to gamespot.

Tecmo's hot new property may not be suffering from any gameplay issues, but a glitch that deletes saved games is frustrating players who have unlocked special game features including costumes, online ranking and hidden characters, Gamespot claims.

A representative from Tecmo claims that not all copies of the game contain this bug, but the phenomenon is wide-spread enough that a patch is in the works.

Until then, DoA4 players can work around the problem. "(1) With your copy of DOA4 already inserted, turn on your 360 by pressing the "open tray" button. (2) Wait until all the information from your Gamer Profile is fully displayed on your Gamer Card, including achievements and other awards. (3) Close the tray again with DOA4 still inserted. If problems still occur, e-mail Tecmo technical support at help@tecmoinc.com."

You'd think, with the extra time since its initial release date, Tecmo would have at least noticed the glitch. Or maybe they did know, but felt they had to go ahead regardless and just patch it later. Either way, it's a demerit point on their report card, and mom's gonna be fed up. µ
