THE HEAD HONCHO at Hewlett Packard has forgotten what happened when his then chairman initiated a witch hunt to find a leaker at the firm.

According to the Wall Street Journal, an embattled Mark Hurd wrote to a sub-committee in Washington DC in response to 16 questions the politicos asked him about Witchfindergate.

The newspaper said his answers don't shed much light on the affaire. He apparently doesn't remember what happened.

It's a tough job, being chairman and CEO of HP, but someone has got to do it, we expect. µ
