Bjorn3d checks the Gigabyte 3D Galaxy Liquid Cooling system. That stuff has already been reviewed twice elsewhere. Bjorn3D provides you with loads of photos and information about how that Liquid Cooler. All in all, an entry level cooler that provides with a good start for people who want it quick and easy. Thumbs up to Gigabyte for its forward lookingness and its boldness.
Hexus checks the ATI Radeon X300SE, not your usual high end, top of the range graphic card. The particular model under review is a Hyper Memory model with access to up to 128MB. It is one of the weakest GPU out there and contrary to what Hexus says, it would be better for you to skip it completely if you are building a new PC. Get a mobo with an integrated X300SE instead.
Phoronix reviews the OCZ EL DDR PC3500 Gold GX Dual Channel memory module - again a fan of long names. That review proves that there is still life in DDR memory even if DDR2 and the forthcoming DDR3 are going to push it quickly into the dim lights. The OCZ EL DDR memory is a 433MHz CL2-2-2-5 part. Complete with a copper heatspreader and a lifetime warranty, it is good value for money even if there is not much to separate it from others such as PQI. The Ultra Low noise technology and extended voltage protection do come handy though.
IT reviews test the Alienware Area 51-M 7700 laptop. That so call Desktop Replacement would better suit a gamer on the move than a businessman. With a 17-inch LCD capable of displaying 1680x1050 pixels, a Geforce 6800 GO, a P4 3.8GHz processor, an onboard RAID subsystem with 7200rpm HDDs, dual DVD writers and 2GB DDR2 memory, it provides with some decent firepower at a price. Nice piece of hardware but definitely niche.
Last, MVKtech explores the Thermaltake Purepower TWV500 series PSU. Nowadays a PSU comes with much more in terms of accessories than a graphic card. Not only do you have cable and connectors, but you also have a 120mm fan, drive bay module but also a fan controller. The 500w power it promised to deliver were top quality ones - clean and stable. It is not cheap though but if you're serious about quality, stability and looks, then go for it. µ
