AMD to launch R600 in Amsterdam, in March

AMD WILL LAUNCH ATI's R600 graphics chippery in Amsterdam on or around the ides of March.

Some 200 hacks from 45 countries will be invited to attend this event. With the power of DAAMIT this will be the biggest and most glamourous graphics chip launch to date.

Ex-ATI PR spinners managed to open some wallets to get the necessary funding for such a launch. It makes sense. We already told you here how partners feels about the card.

Top executives from DAAMIT are expected to tip up and some usual suspects such as Richard Huddy, Raja Koduri and Terry the catalyst Makedon are expected. Don't forget lads the like of Chris Hook, Lars Waynard and Jon Carvil from the evil DAAMIT PR machine.

Some Nvidia green is about to get smoked as we heard R600 with some software tweaks will actually be faster than we all anticipated. The launch is definitely in March as Hector said so.

We can also confirm that Hector won't play its Fender together with Fudo's bass guitar skills at the event but some stunt involving one of the two is to be expected. µ
