A PAIR OF PANTS in the US is what we call a pair of trousers here. A pair of pants here is what you wear underneath your trousers.

Don't get your knickers in a twist!

A man claims an old Nano Ipod he had set his pants on fire and paper he had in his pocket saved him from serious scorching.

This story is here.
