The newspaper quoted two "industry executives" who claimed that Apple and Intel have talked about using the latter's microprocessors in its machines.
The companies have been involved in discussions in the past, but the Journal speculates that Apple may be leaking the information to get better prices from IBM for its Power ange of CPUs.
It also claims that
Apple's adoption of Intel chips would give it a chance to compete head on against Dell.
Now, you and I might believe that Dell is Intel's representative on earth, but we've heard mumblings against the PC company now for several months.
The inner feeling at Chipzilla is, it appears, that Intel has created a Dell monster that now is a little bit too powerful. µ
