Walt Disney bans every PDA but two

Micky Mouse gets Blackberry, Donald D an Ipaq

THAT FABULOUS SITE Internal Memos appears to have secured a little memo-gem, if true, which must have implications for the PDA companies Walt Disney won't support any more.

The Walt Disney Corporation - two word anagrams here -- appears to have instructed its staff on the kind of personal digital assistants they can use.

That boils down to two types - Blackberries and Compaq IPAQ.

Any member of staff who has a Palm Pilot or a Handspring Visor will be, according to the memo, "grandfathered" for a little while. But the IT staff at Walt Disney won't support them nor will it support any other kind of PDA.

Even if Santa Claus flies down your chimney with Rudolf the red-nosed mushroom chomping Coca Cola reindeer in train, the IT staff won't entertain its use for connecting to the Walt Disney network, according to Internal Memos.

Unless, that is, Martin Shumaker or Sue Lucas personally authorise their use, according to the same site.

No Journadas, no Palm Pilots, no Handspring Visors, no Sony Clie, no Sun Bambis, no Sinclair Sorcerors' Apprentices, no Psion handhelds [Are you making this up? Ed.].

Just no nothing but Micky's Blackberry or Donald's Ipaq.
