THAT DELIGHTFUL MAKER of rootkits Sony has been caught using Wackypedia in a bid to attack rival Microsoft's latest Halo 3 effort.

According to MaxConsole, the IP address 217.18.23.2 seemed to have a lot to say about the forthcoming Halo 3 on the online encyclopaedia Wikipedia.

Seeming to have some 'inside information,' 217.18.23.2 dismissed the game as not having any important graphics upgrades from the previous version. "Halo 3 won't look any better than Halo 2," 217.18.23.2 claimed.

One of the Wackypedia editors smelt a rat. It was not penned by one of their fellow experts and failed to slag off the Inquirer or other magazines that they didn't like.

A quick search revealed that 217.18.23.2 was the IP address of Sony's Liverpool studios. The page has been corrected and locked from further changes. µ
