Corsair and Super Talent make 2GB SO-DIMMs

Vista demands more memory for notebooks

CORSAIR and the Super Talent memory company announced 2GB DDR2-667 SO-DIMMs. They want to improve the total amount of memory that you can add in your Vista notebook.

Vista PCs want more memory and 2GB DDR2-667 (PC5300) ValueSelect SODIMMs is Corsair's answer to some prayers. The modules are individually te sted at 1.8v and use up to 50 per cent less power compared to the two-module approach.

These modules are meant for Intel Centrino Duo based notebooks and their maximum suggested retail price is $489.

Super Talent announced similar modules. Its 2GB 667 modules will sell for $485 and they should be available in February. These are designed to slip into Macbook Pros.
