Eve Online celebrates 70,000 users

MMORPG Eve Online is celebrating some user milestones this week, having surpassed a userbase of 70,000 active subscribers and 15,000 concurrently playing characters.

Whilst these figures may seem small compared to the likes of World of Warcraft which boasts a userbase in the millions, Eve Online is a testament to the fact that smaller MMORPGs can still survive in a world of giants.

Giants such as Everquest II and World of Warcraft are baying for a limited number of consumers.

Vive la small guys! µ
