Fri Feb 16 2007, 12:36
GEEKS AT AMD have opened the AMD auditorium and the AMD Display Hall on Second Life.

This will extend its "Developer Outreach" programme into a virtual space for meetings and for developers to wear furry outfits probably. This is at AMD Dev Central Island.

It's hosting a three month treasure hunt for developers who will be entered into a competition for a Dell E521 with an Athlon 64X2, 4GB of DDR2 memory, a 320GB hard drive, a 20-inch widescreen fat panel monitor and so on.

The first event will be on Sunday at 1PM Pacific where developers will have a natter about the challenges of Open Second WLife.

The INQ's pavilion in the shape of Spinola's Bar complete with unsatisfying shots of virtual tequila and vodka is at Molesworth 234, 205, 59. µ
