Pope hits out at violent computer games

POPE BENEDICT XVI has attacked violent or sexually explicit computer games as a "perversion" and "repulsive."

In his papal message for World Communications Day, the Pope said he was concerned abut the media's effect on children, particularly computer games and moving pictures.

According to a report on Cnet, Pope Benedict said that any trend to produce programs and products which exalt violence and portray antisocial behaviour or the trivialisation of sex was a perversion. He said this was much worse when the programs are directed at children and adolescents.
