ELA Ltd sells a Vizio 20-inch LCD flat screen for $210 on ebay. The pics are gorgeous. Widescreen compatible, it has PC, S VIdeo, AV and composite inputs. Add in PiP, Parental V Chip and two vertical speakers and you might get a bargain - "might" because it seems that there is a slight prob with the screen which shows a display on only 2/3 of the screen. If you can solve it, then grab a bargain.

America's title for cheapest 19-inch LCD monitor, the new sweet spot, goes to Advueu from Newegg, the AMW-F196B costs only $224 after rebates. Black in colour, it has a D Sub rather than a DVI port, two speakers and has a response time of 25ms. Got five eggs out of five from 17 voters. So can't go wrong with it if you are a non gamer.

Going cheaper would be a very difficult task indeed. The Tiny Mediabook 17XL comes with an Athlon 64 3000+ processor, 1GB of memory, a 100GB HDD plus a huge 17-inch Widescreen monitor. Add in the Integrated X300SE graphics, 7.1 audio support, 4.1 sound, Wifi plus Bluetooth support, GbE Lan and a DVD writer and you have a more than potent desktop replacement at £680+VAT.

Looking for bargain TFT screens in the UK! Ebay has never been so much popular for LCD screens. I've bagged myself two 18-inch Eizo Flexcan L680 for £160 with delivery. Now there's an IBM T86-9497 18.1-inch Flat Panel Monitor for sale at a BIN price of £104 including delivery. It is used but you can surely pump out some more juice from it. D-Sub only model with a resolution of 1024x1280. The cheapest LCD monitor award has to go to the Mitac LC552 15-inch monitor at £60 inc. VAT. This model comes with two speakers and is in excellent condition. Maximum resolution is XGA. µ
