IF YOU'RE INTO hard-core – gaming, that is, you can check out I4U’s review of the XFX 8800GT XXX. Reviewer Shane McGlaun seems to have gone head over heels for this single-slot performer, and although it’s more expensive than other 8800 GT’s around, they scored it 9.8/10. Now that’s a high score. On the other hand, if you can’t afford that baby, then Madshrimps have an option for you. That would be a Sparkle 8800GT 512MB that, although bordering on insane performance, it costs “just” €229.

Following the litany of Radeon HD38x0 reviews, Extremetech analyses the current chip offerings from both camps and then throw everything they have at the ASUS EAH3870 and again come out with a warm & fuzzy feeling of graphic satisfaction. 9/10 for ASUS’ baby here, apparently you can’t get much better than this at the current price tag, thinks Jason.

Not many PC reviews around, maybe it’s the pre-Christmas slump, but Cnet Reviews gives HP’s Slimline s3200t the once over in this review ‘ere. They’re impressed about its “bang for your buck” value as it sports a Core 2 Duo, 2gigs of RAM, a 500 gig HDD and a hybrid HD-DVD+BD-ROM unit, so its cheap as chips high-res entertainment all the way, they figure.

XSReviews has found the hack’s best friend – the Cyber Snipa Dog Tags. Not only does it look like a cool dog tag that doubles as a USB drive (512MB thru 4GB), it also comes with a bottle opener (Inqhacks rejoice!) and a nail file (we’re sure you’ll find a better use for this one, other than filing your nails).

French dudes at presence-pc.com pick up a trio of new hard-drives from Hitachi, Seagate and Western Digital and crunches some data on them. These specific units accomodate the not-so-smallish capacity of 1 terabyte (or octets, ‘cos they don’t use bytes in France) of data. Seagate comes out smelling like roses.

Not a review but a heads-up for all of you twelve people who bought an Ageia PhysX card and have been hesitant to downgrade your machines to Vista 64-bit. Ageia just released new drivers for 32- and 64-bit Windows Vista. Now of the 33 people who use Windows Vista 64-bit, 12 of you can play with your physics card. Get them here. µ

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
