Laser testing raises an eyebrow

Hardware Roundup While Fudzilla dribbles over hardware
Wednesday, 4 April 2007, 19:47
HARDWARELOGIC TESTED Corsair Dominator TWINX2X2048-8500C5DF, a 2x1GB memory kit specc'ed to run at 1066 MHz, but is capable of doing much more. This kit comes with Corsair's fan thingie, a pretty useful add-on. But if you do not own Corsair Dominator memory and still want to cool down the memory, you can check out CoolIT's RAM Fan. This is a cheap add-on, but it is compatible only with standard size DIMMs.

Moving data is no hassle at all in this age and time, but if you are not a fan of USB sticks or want to find a new home for an older hard drive, RaidSonic's ICY Boxes just might be the ticket to ride. Head over to Virtual-Hideout and find out.

However, if you do like USB sticks, head over to TechGage to check the review of Corsair's own Voyager GT 8GB. This stick is a new rev of world's reknown Flash Voyager 8GB, which proved to be quite a tough cookie in our testing.

If you're looking for a home for that 2.5" Icy Box or just about any 2.5" cage out there, consider pulling your notebook apart and installing brand new Seagate 7200.2 hard drive with 160GB capacity and putting old one into an external drive box.

RBmods tested Ultra X-finity 800 Watt power supply, since it is pretty obvious that computers of today require ton of juice. However, this Ultra received open praise from experts from SysOpt.Com as well - they were not able to break the PSU, which is something that happens once in a decade.

And one of things that will almost certainly power this power supply is EVGA's 680i A1 motherboard and the components on top of it. LegitReviews give the rundown what is new on this A1 rev and how does this reflect the price of the board.

BCCHardware tested one of possible cooling solutions for mighty AMD or Intel powered machine, with an greatly priced water-cooling kit. This kit costs almost as high-end air coolers, an impossible thing to imagine only couple of months ago. Full name of the product is Gigabyte's 3D Galaxy II W/C Kit.

Fudzilla's mob got their claws on Asetek's new cooling kit, called LCLC (Low-Cost Liquid-Cooling). The exclusive preview is here. We are not certain that new Fudo's site has a policy of discussing love making between people and hardware, but Martin bled his haert out over Hauppauge's WinTV-HVR-4000 DVB-S2 card.

Beware, wherevere you are. Clicking on this next link might land you in anti- terror police on your doorstep. We're talking about a review of Dragon Laser 75 and 125mW, green lasers that are able to hit objects from miles away - this includes airplanes.
