AN INTERVIEW over on Digitimes has revealed details of Abit's new gaming-focused range of products, co-branded with the Fatal1ty moniker of pro-gamer Jonathan Wendell.

Fist out the door are motherboards, which have been playtested and tuned by numerous pro-gaming clans as well as the man himself. The first to market, the AA8, is a blood red colour and sports LEDs on the front and back, to appeal to case modders. It is based on Intel's newest 925 chipset, with support for 1066FSB Pentiums and DDR2-533 memory. It has dual-LAN capability and uses Intel Matrix RAID for storage. It lacks legacy connectors, save for PS/2, but includes Intel Hi-Def 7.1 audio.

The board uses an enhanced, dual-fan version of its OTES technology to cool crucial components on the board, increasing stability and overclockability, and is expected to be available in stores before the end of the month. Expect the usual gamut of reviews to hit the web before then.
