Fiddle with the registry or wait a few days
Fri Apr 21 2006, 17:18
SOFTWARE FIRM Microsoft will release a patch next week for users who discovered the last security patch it introduced caused trouble and strife for some users.

The firm explains here that Mister Security Update 908531 installed a new binary program which conflicts with a number of applications.

Those include share to web, some HP applications, Kerio Personal Firewall, and other stuff including Office applications, expanding folders or the inability to see the "My Documents" or "My Pictures" folders.

The security update page linked above gives instructions about how to modify your registry but you may well prefer to let Microsoft fix things automatically for you. µ
