THE PRICE OF AMD shares rose by 64 cents on the NYSE and stands at $14.28, up from its $13.89 opening price.

A financial analyst at Stifel Nicolaus upgraded AMD's price from neutral to buy despite gloomy prognostications earlier this month about chip delays.

Intel's share price is also on the rise today - up by 24 cents to currently stand at $24.17.

In fact, chip stocks generally had a bit of a boost, with Broadcom (BRCM) and Nvidia (NVDA) also showing rises.

The Green Giant's share price was up $1.93 from an opening price of $40.63. Lehman tipped it. µ
