Sony is go with range of Vaio

A voyage in rediscovery blue
Friday, 5 January 2007, 16:18
SONY said it plans to release a line of updated VAIOs for Spring this year which will sport Mirosoft's latest Windows Vista on shipping.

As well as coming packed with the shiny new operating system, the new notebooks include the C2 series with an exciting new colour called 'rediscovery blue,' the latest in the SZ series creatively dubbed the SZ4, family notebook the NE20 and media computer the FE40.

Sony goes to great depths explaining the wonders of newest and sixth colour available for the C2 series, rediscovery blue, claiming it's a mix of soft blue tones with storm greys, and 'evokes skies and seas and feelings of self-awareness and stimulation.' Basically, it's a blue notebook.

Sony's bragging that the new line of notebooks suit all sorts - for example, Sony reckons "The Business Traveller" will enjoy the super-portable SZ4 laptop, which weighs a pithy 1.69kg. It's the only notebook in the world with two graphics chipsets, boasts Sony.

While a serious business type would enjoy the SZ4, apparently the "Entertainment Lover" will be thoroughly entertained by the FE40 which comes equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo processors and NVIDIA GeForce Go graphics. The X-black LCD screen is 'perfect' for movies and games, says Sony, and even has two lamps in it.

Not to worry, notebook-enthusiast families: Sony's got a treat for you too. The N20 comes in an inoffensive and family friendly white and has a widescreen 15.4-inch display, as well as a choice between the Intel Core 2 Duo and Core Duo processors. Finally, we have the so-called PC-TV fusion that is the LA2-series notebook, The One With All The Trimmings. It's got 2GB of memory, a 19-inch high resolution widescreen LCD display and a 300GB hard drive for all of your rubbish. µ
