Grisoft is Grisoft no longer

GRISOFT, developer of AVG virus-busting software and the like is to change its name.

While few have heard of Grisoft, more have heard of AVG it seems, so Grisoft is out and AVG Technologies is in.

The UK arm has been operating under the AVG moniker for a while now, and becomes AVG Technologies UK Ltd., while the US-based company is now AVG Technologies USA, Inc.

The firm said it's been buying up AVG domains ilike there's no tomorrow lately, "to ensure a smooth transition to the new corporate identity." µ
