2X serves up Windows apps for Mac

Remote desktop free for five
Wednesday, 21 May 2008, 15:01

DALLAS-BASED 2X has announced the release of a new Mac OSX server client which will allow users to run Windows applications remotely.

Avoiding the need to run the likes of VMWare Parallels, or Apple's Bootcamp, which are all prone to resource hogging to one degree or another, the 2X Application Server Client tunnels any Windows application onto remote computers, including those running OSX and Linux.

X2 is offering a free five-application licence of the software which will allow you to install applications onto a central server and tunnel them to up to five remote workstations. How very kind. ยต

huh?

how exactly, one way or the other, is bootcamp a resource hog? it's an os x app that burns a CD and partitions the hard drive, after which you never have to use it again. didn't u know that already? eh, but who would want the real bloatware on ur computer when u can go virtually bloat things anyway.....
