Sun to cut more jobs

Not saying how many

BIG TIN FIRM Sun said that it will cut an unspecified number of jobs as part of a new restructuring plan.

In a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Sun said it will cost between $100 million to $150 million over the next several quarters to hand its staff their pink slips and p45s.

However the outfit did not tell SEC how many jobs would be cut.

In June last year the company said that it would slash 4,000 to 5,000 jobs within six months in an effort to return to consistent profitability. It would appear that this announcement could be a new wave of cuts.
