Xbox 360 rumours spark poetic licence

SURFING AROUND the web we have found a lot of XBox 360 rumours. Not sure how many of them are true we thought we would give you a gander to make up your own mind.

Most of the rumours seem to cite this Spanish site as a source.

None of this appears verifiable, and it is Friday, so I have decided to write them in the style of the 16th century prophet, Nostradamus.

The Year 2006 ten months
From Redmond shall come the announcement of the Mighty Vole.
The Mighty XBox 360 Premium Pack
Shall be slashed by $100 throughout the land.
And great shall be the rejoicing in the New World.

And at the same time the Core Pack price
Will be dropped to $80
Separated from judgment and counsel:
As the Japanese Revolution begins
The whisperer shall speak in loud voice.

At that time also shall the Gears of War be released
Great will be the marketing thereof
And the world shall not have seen the like of it
The call shall be heard unto the Gates of Redmond.
Unto the kingdom of Sony.

A new HD-DVD format shall go forth from the Gates of Redmond
It shall connect unto the Xbox 360
Many shall be amazed at the number of Gigabytes
For it shall store more than 100.
But none shall know the date of its release but the King of Redmond.

The Vole shall work on a violent Urban game
The thunder of the Rockstar shall roll out
Onto the XBox 360 to much mirth of many
But with fear and loathing from a Miami man of law
And Parents shall cry out for their children

XBox Live Gold shall either drop in price
Or else it shall come free
But lo, there shall be great promotional devices
Advertisements shall fill it,
and there will be great gnashing of teeth.

Vole shall create a virtual console for the Sega
And Sega games will appear on the Xbox 360
There will be an alliance between Epic and Vole For exclusive content in Xbox Live
And Paramount shall provide HD content to Xbox Live
