Worm is common as muck
Thu Feb 24 2005, 07:02
A NEW WORM that promises explicit pictures of hotel heiress Paris Hilton is rapidly becoming more common.

According to AV outfit Sophos, Sober.K, is putting itself about so much that it makes up 10 percent of all viruses detected in the last 24 hours.

Media friendly Sophos spokesman Graham Cluley said that the latest variant of the Sober worm may catch out the unwary hoping for more exposure of the over exposed famous person [Who is Paris Hilton? Ed].

He said that the offer of "Paris Hilton, pure!” and "Paris Hilton SexVideos” cashes in on the recent hacking of the party girl's T-Mobile Sidekick address book.

Most people already know of the infamous home video of the blonde with her ex-boyfriend which gives new meaning to the term phone sex, apparently, and think the worm attachment will lead them to more. Which it doesn't.

You can read more about it at the Sophos site. µ
