Chinese ban WoW skeletons

Make no bones about it
Tue Jul 10 2007, 12:23
POPULAR ONLINE ENTERTAINMENT World of Warcraft has been reduced to its bare bones for Chinese consumption, reports the Xinhua News Agency. Spare ribs lying about have been airbrushed out and skeletons have been replaced with tasteful graves.

An unnamed spokesman said the changes had been made to suit ‘China's particular situation and relevant regulations' and to promote a ‘healthy and harmonious on-line environment'.

Chinese gamers have already waited more than six months to get their hands on the latest version of WoW, The Burning Crusade, and some 500 have signed an online petition saying they refuse to play the de-boned game. ยต
