But in this particular neck of the cosmic woods, market research firm iSuppli reckons Seagate is number one in HDD ships and in perpendicular sales.
The firm said Seagate shipped 39.1 million HDDs in the third calendar quarter, up from 33.6 million in Q2. That gives it a 34.3 per cent share of the market.
Further, said iSuppli, its data shows that Seagate shipped 3.9 million perpendicular hard drives. Isuppli figures below are for units in thousands. µ
