Intel, AMD trial date an "immovable feast"

Not like Easter, then
Wednesday, 27 September 2006, 21:22
THE POOR JUDGE presiding over AMD's antitrust case against Intel was faced with a barrage of lawyers today - perhaps the collective noun is a "beehive of pleaders"?

See Judge strikes out foreign claims in AMD-Intel case.

Judge Joseph Forman, who yesterday was so firm in striking out the special pleadings AMD had made about foreign activities, said he'd listen to Chimpzilla's lawyers again.

And he also said that he will listen to fresh AMD arguments about ruling foreign cases into a US court. Hopefully he'll have his iPod on as the dreary case drags on. No doubt Chipzilla lawyers will have something to say too.

Anyway, the "immutable date" for the trial is April the 27th, 2009, but there will be plenty of argy bargy before then.

The case continues.... Perhaps Judge Joe should re-read Bleak House? µ
