Asus should have a similar time frame to bring a highly anticipated AMD PCIe board out. A few Nforce 4 Ultra retail boards should sample at the same time.
As for the Via boards, we understand that even though its chipset works flawlessly, motherboard manufacturers sill can not get enough chipset in quantities.
This will change in a week or two since motherboard chaps will start mass production at that time. You should be able to see the first reviews up on the web then.
Retail Nforce 4 Ultra boards should show up at the same time and we expect to see some ATI RS480 motherboards - this will be a hard competition.
It won't be easy to sell your chipsets as there will be quite some competition going on at the same time. AMD is sure getting some PCIe noise in the next few weeks.
It was much easier with Intel's PCIe move. You only had Intel chipset in retail boards with others' chipsets launched but not available in retail boards. µ
