According to The Age, the rock lobster is half a metre long which could give rise to a new industry of claw cracking implements if Las Vegas caterers can commercialise the lobster, which apparently is close to extinction.
Las Vegas is famed for joints which advertise "biggest
lobster in town" and lobsters are easy to get there. We've always wondered how the lobsters are shipped to Vegas.
Are they flown into McClaren in 747s, sloshing around in a virtual sea and packed in like sardines in a can, or like economy passengers on transatlantic frights? Will giant lobsters need more leg room?
Or are they driven across the desert by teams of Lobsterboys in a wild crustacean dash for the Strip?
A similar question needs to be asked about ducks in the Chinatown area in Soho, London. Is there a vast underground lake where the ducks await their turn to be transformed into crispy duck for the customers upstairs? [No. Ed.] µ
