Youngjohns gets top job at Vole

MICROSOFT said it has hired Robert Youngjohns to head up its north American sales and marketing team.

For those of you not so long in the teeth as us, Youngjohns is 56 years old and will manage 8,500 Volish sales people.

Before the Vole, he worked at Callidus Software, but before that he worked for 10 years at Sun. And before that he spent 18 years at Big Glue.

It is nice to see Microsoft giving a young man the chance to shine. Shame he wasn't called John Youngjohns, but we live in an imperfect world. µ

... but if he was John Youngjohns, we would have to assume that he was hiding his previous employment at Yoyodyne Industries.
