Touch-screen and phone mods for your PSP

Console round-up Japanese line up for Xbox 360
Monday, 11 August 2008, 10:26

IT'S BEEN A rather slow week for console news, but we've cobbled together the few bits that have slipped onto the World Wide Wibble.

PS3/PSP
Finally we've got hold of the Sony PSP phone - but it isn't quite what was expected.

This touch-screen PSP hack is much more useful. Sony take note.

Sony’s PSP has continued to lead Japanese hardware sales during the week ending August 3rd, although the gap between the system and Nintendo's handheld DS was cut from more than 10,000 units to less than 4,000.

Xbox 360
Incredibly, Japanese otaku are lining up for the release of Tales of Vesperia on the 360 - pictures here.

Microsoft is going to attempt to increase its large cash reserves even further, via pay-for accessories for the new Xbox avatars.

Microsoft is getting rather annoyed at Nintendo's sales, and has declared that 60 per cent of Wii Fit purchases go unplayed.

Personally, we'd prefer Microsoft to concentrate on Xbox products as opposed to Nintendo's offerings.

Now you can get your Xbox Live data fed to your Iphone or Ipod Touch, yay.

Wii/DS
Nintendo delivered Gamedaily charts to show that the assumption of low software sales for the Wii are not correct.

Apparently Nintendo's Denise Kaigler wanted to set the "record straight" that the company is "selling third-party games and they are doing very well, and better than competitors."

One of the most useful hacks for the Wii has emerged since the recent firmware crack was released.

This new hack removes the health warning and region encoding on your box.

We've had some decent and odd Wiimote hacks in our time but this canoe controller takes the biscuit. µ
