Dell peddled complete cobbles in its adverts

Isn't that what they are for?
Wednesday, 28 May 2008, 09:37

HARDWARE maker Dell, was declared a lying shyster in a New York Court this week.

State Supreme Court Justice Joseph Teresi said Dell engaged in repeated false and deceptive advertising when it peddled its credit financing and warranty terms to punters.

New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo claimed customers should be entitled to restitution.

Dell said its advertising was not dodgy and hacks should not look at the quality, but they should feel the width.

A spokesDellboy said at the time that its conduct had been honourable and customers were its top priority. More than six million financial transactions were signed in New York between 2003 and 2006. It is not clear who were the fools and which were the horses.

More than 700 punters had complained about Dell's antics. ยต
